A sunny start but the pattern is on the move.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 9/23: We are starting to see the western stream sinking a little lower towards our area with some debris clouds early mixing with the sunny skies to the north. This will be part of the evolution of the pattern today with clouds increasing over the higher terrain through the afternoon and spreading south with the northern trough and cold front settling in overnight. Some scattered showers in the area overnight could produce some snow on the highest peaks so have your cameras ready.

Temperatures: Lows dropped with the clear skies to 26 for CB and 30 for Gunni. Highs will rebound early and look a lot like yesterday at 71 for CB and 75 for Gunni. Lows tonight will hug the freezing mark but may be moderated by cloud cover.

Outlook: This big trough moving into the west early Monday will drive the northern stream of moisture across our area and introduce colder air. This will move across our area from the northwest stalling over the 4 corners and will mean mostly just cloud cover but a few thunder cells will be possible early Monday. Skies will clear into Tuesday but it will feel a lot more like fall.
