On and off again thundershowers.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 10/23: Moisture moved in quickly overnight but the surge of warmer air kept the snow line high with all the valleys holding above freezing and in the rain. Today will be the wettest day of the week as initially forecast and we will see scattered rain and thundershowers all day with the heavier concentration coming after 2 and continuing into tonight before drying. The snow line will stay high but expect sloppy travel on the higher passes.

Temperatures: Lows were warm with the cloud cover with CB holding to 35 and 41 for Gunni. Highs today will still climb to the low 50’s valley wide even with the rain with the snow line above 10k ft. Lows tonight will cool again as skies clear and likely reach below freezing so watch for icy roads early Wednesday.

Outlook: The pattern choked up on us and now Hurricane Willa is powering into Mexico and will mostly stay to our south and west. This allows a flip in the pattern with slow pivot to the northwest through Wednesday allowing for significantly drier conditions earlier than expected. Look for partly cloudy remnants Wednesday with some lingering clouds Thursday but a dry mild trend takes us into the weekend.
